Redmi has added a new earbud to its lineup of audio products. The Redmi Clip Neo is an open ear wireless headset that allows users to enjoy music without completely isolating themselves from their environment. Announced in China to coincide with the launch of the Redmi K100 smartphone on October 27 2026 the Clip Neo aims to keep cost down while offering good audio quality and long battery life.
The Redmi Clip Neo but features a C-shaped bridge that pinches the outer ear. Rather than traditional in-ear earbuds, the open-ear design is meant to leave the canal open to remain aware of ambient noise in the environment.
At 5.3g each, the earbuds help reduce the sensation of wearing a heavier audio accessory during longer listening sessions. Redmi claims the earbuds were designed based on more than 1,000 ear models to optimise their fit for a wider variety of ears.
The prosthetic is made of a 0.6mm-memory titanium wire combined with liquid silicone along points in contact with the skin. As claimed by the company, the titanium part has been tested with 25,000 bending cycles, underlining the priority on flexibility and strength.
There’s also a feature that allows a pair of the earbuds to be used interchangeably left or right, and a wear detection feature that will automatically pause or stop the music when you take an earbud out and will continue playing once you put it back in.
The speaker of the Clip Neo includes 12mm dual-magnetic dynamic drivers that will provide louder sound and better bass. Redmi has used a diamond-like carbon coating on the diaphragm and a new bass-boosting algorithm to counter the low-frequency roll-off created by open-ear listening.
For more control over the sound, the device has four preset equaliser profiles (from normal to bass boost) and a custom 10-band equaliser. It offers even more bass, vocals, or treble based on user preferences and what is being played.
For phone calls, the earbuds are equipped with dual microphones with an AI-enabled noise reduction technology. The directional sound delivery system is built to direct the sound toward the listener and a rear-pressure relief vent is added to reduce sound leakage.
This may make the Clip Neo suitable for work, travel, and outdoor use, but the actual sound and call quality will be affected by your environment.
Battery life is another highlight, with the company claiming each of the earbuds can last for up to seven hours each, and up to 32 hours when used with the charging case.
It has USB Type-C charging and a tower shape with the battery-status indicator. Battery life depends on volume level, connection environment, microphone on or off, and other factors.
The Clip Neo is equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 and supports the standard SBC and AAC audio codecs.
The earbuds offer physical button controls for music, call, and voice-assistant control. Xiaomi devices with HyperOS 3.0 will also support the Super XiaoAI assistant and a location-finding feature. You can also use the Xiaomi Earbuds app for supported iPhones with iOS 14 or higher.
