We know that the tensions between Huawei and the US government have been at a new level since the US banned them. However, the tensions increased after the US-China trade war as the US government added them to a blacklist. This meant that they can’t even have business as usual with the US companies. Still, we saw that the Huawei CEO was silent on the entire issue while the US government attacked them and blamed them for having ties with the Chinese government. Now, we have a new interview of the Huawei CEO Ren Zhenfei where he looks to have released everything that he had in his mind regarding the US ban on them.

Also, you must note that Meng Wanzhou, daughter of Huawei’s CEO has also been arrested by the US government since last year. Now, the Huawei CEO in his interview with Canada’s The Globe and Mail reveals that the US government is using Meng as a way to destroy his company. Huawei CEO also mentions that the arrest of Meng is just the first step in the US government’s final step of destroying Huawei on the whole.

Ren Zhenfei also said that he has now realized that Meng is the victim of the US politics and the US administration wants to destroy Huawei for their own benefits. He also says that the arrest was not a misunderstanding as was reported by the US administration but rather a political scheme. Huawei CEO also announced that they are moving their research centres to Canada instead of the US for the simple reason that they are not allowed to make phone calls or send e-mails in the US. However, he re-iterates that the company will not be disheartened by the negative impact of U.S.’ actions on Huawei and that they already have 1200 employers in Canada.
